"He who reads the hearts of men knows their characters better than they themselves know them. He sees that some have powers and susceptibilities which, rightly directed, might be used in the advancement of His work. In His providence He brings these persons into different positions and varied circumstances that they may discover in their character the defects which have been concealed from their own knowledge. He gives them opportunity to correct these defects, and to fit themselves for His service. Often He permits the fires of affliction to assail them that they may be purified." -
Community Ambassadors are becoming popular in empowering communities to take a proactive role toward in creating a safe and secure place for residents. Ambassador’s leadership recognizes the need for a collaborative approach to policing that incorporates community partnerships to solve problems and improve public trust.
The most successful expression of this recognition occurs each month during religious, government and community service meetings. Residents are encouraged to discuss issues, collaborate on ideas to serve the community better. This approach is to strengthen lines of communications between community leaders, governmental officials and denominations.
Jesus Christ is the perfect example of service towards others. He came to the world and rather than be served by others he himself served others with kindness and humility. From healing those who were sick or possessed and washing the disciple’s feet to dying a gruesome death on the cross, Jesus shows us what real love and the heart of a servant truly looks like.
Community service can help any group of people in need: children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, English language learners, and more. It can also help animals, such as those at a shelter, and it can be used to improve places, such as a local park, historic building, or scenic area as well. A community ambassador is responsible for connecting members of the local community with the programs offered by a charitable organization or public service office. In this career, your job duties include leading the community outreach team, working as the face to the general public, and developing positive relationships with the community at large. You may operate as a team member of an outreach department or as a single ambassador. The qualifications needed for a career as a community ambassador include a high school diploma or GED certificate. However, many employers prefer a bachelor’s degree in the social sciences. You also need strong organizational skills and a passion for helping others.
