Course Description

This course provides students with an introduction to the Applied Arts in Project Management, covering both basic and advanced fundamentals. Project management involves the planning, organization, and execution of a project to achieve specific goals or outcomes. Businesses of all types depend on projects to meet their short-term and long-term objectives, as it is through projects that tasks are accomplished.

The primary aim is to deliver a comprehensive project that aligns with the client’s objectives. Often, this involves refining the client’s initial brief to ensure it effectively addresses their goals. Once the client's objectives are clarified, they should guide all decisions made by stakeholders, including project managers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors. Poorly defined or overly restrictive project management objectives can hinder the decision-making process.
